The newest version of the policy will keep any Virginia laws or school board policies from their regular school environment and into an alternative learning system, such as hybrid or remote schooling, the website said.
Before this update, the school board's policy required the misbehaving student to merely transfer to another school, but after a student sexually assaulted two female victims from different schools, the school board decided the former policy was not enough, WJLA said.
